ActionAid Arab Region

ActionAid has been present in the Arab Region since the mid 2000’s implementing programmes focusing predominantly on young people. AAAR identified three priorities: Humanitarian response and protection, Women’s Rights and Youth Civic and Political Participation.

ARCS Arci Culture Solidali

ARCS promotes inside the community’s processes of social change, education to global citizenship, to peace and intercultural and intergenerational dialogue, and processes of strengthening democratic ownership.

AVSI Foundation

AVSI implements development and humanitarian aid projects and has been present in Jordan since 2001. AVSI works with local authorities, international organizations, and CBOs, focusing interventions in neglected areas, such as in the south.

Blumont is a global organization working with local communities to design and implement innovative approaches to build infrastructure, deliver lifesaving humanitarian assistance, and foster opportunities for long- term stability and economic development.

CARE Jordan leads humanitarian protection, economic empowerment, and civic engagement interventions for women and girls from poor and vulnerable communities in the fight to overcome poverty, gender based violence (GBV), and social injustice. 

Center for Victims of Torture

The mission of the Center for Victims of Torture is to heal the wounds of torture on individuals, their families, and their communities and to end torture worldwide, and the Center for Victims of Torture’s vision is a world without torture. 

Collateral Repair Project

Collateral Repair Project (CRP) is a grassroots organization in Amman, Jordan that seeks to bring assistance to refugees and Jordanians in-need through emergency assistance, and community-led and trauma-informed programs.

DRC assists refugees and the displaced, protecting them from harm, safeguarding their legal rights, and empowering them towards a better future.

DIGNITY is an independent human rights and development organization. Our vision is a world free of torture and cruel, inhuman, and degrading treatment. 

Finn Church Aid

FCA has been active in Jordan in livelihoods and education in camps and host communities. FCA has been facilitating TVET services to Syrian refugees and vulnerable Jordanians, supporting self-employment through developing and strengthening micro and small businesses, including HBBS.

Global Communities

Global Communities’ mission is to create long-lasting, positive and community-led change that improves the lives and livelihoods of vulnerable people. The central goal is to build the capacity of communities to direct the development of their own lives. 

Good Neighbors International

Good Neighbors has served Syrian refugees and host communities since 2020 by implementing an economic empowerment program and by conducting protection programming (CRC/GBV) and awareness campaigns. 

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat Jordan is a non-profit organization founded in Jordan in 2002 to help low-income families improve their living condition by supporting them build and repair their homes. It aims to assist families to shift their focus to the progress and development of other aspects of their lives. 

HelpAge International Humanity 

HelpAge launched its Knowledge & Resource Hub in Amman in 2017 for older men and women, local and international organizations, CBOs, the private sector, the government, and members of the community to advocate for the inclusion of older men and women.

HI is an independent aid organisation working in situations of poverty and exclusion, conflict and disaster. HI works alongside people with disabilities and vulnerable populations, taking action and bearing witness in order to respond to their needs, improve their living conditions and promote respect for their dignity and fundamental rights.

IMC is a global humanitarian organization dedicated to saving lives and relieving suffering. IMC’s mission is to improve the quality of life through health interventions and related activities that strengthen underserved communities worldwide.

International Orthodox Christian Charities

IOCC has implemented humanitarian activities in response to influxes of Iraqi and Syrian refugees, as well as long-term development and resilience activities for vulnerable Jordanians. IOCC implements health & protection (focus on PWDs), livelihoods, basic needs & shelter, and food security & agriculture activities. 

International Refugee Assistance Project

IRAP provides free, direct legal aid to displaced people seeking resettlement, family reunification, or a humanitarian immigration pathway that provides a legal avenue to permanent residence or citizenship, namely through in-house immigration legal teams and pro bono attorneys. 

International Rescue Committee

IRC helps Syrians and Jordanians in need to survive, recover, and regain control of their future. IRC provides healthcare, works to protect and empower women and girls, and runs early childhood development programs and economic programs. 

INTERSOS

INTERSOS is a humanitarian organization on the front-line of emergencies, bringing assistance to victims of armed conflicts, natural disasters and extreme exclusion with particular attention to the protection of the most vulnerable people. 

Islamic Relief Worldwide Jordan

ICMC is an international NGO working in the area of migration and refugee assistance. ICMC was founded in 1951, in the wake of the massive human displacement caused by the Second World War. 

Jesuit Refugee Service

JRS runs two programs in Amman to support urban refugees. In the Urban Refugee Support Program, teams of trained psychosocial case managers visit the most vulnerable refugee families. JRS also maintains three higher education centres where refugees can take courses in English, digital literacy, and psychosocial case management.

Medair is a humanitarian organisation inspired by Christian faith to relieve human suffering in some of the world’s most remote and devastated places. Since 1989, Medair has helped people in crisis – regardless of race, creed or nationality – to survive and recover with dignity.

Oxfam has been working in Jordan since the 1990s through civil society and focusing largely on women’s access to justice and transformative leadership. Since 2013, Oxfam has provided essential humanitarian aid to Syrian refugees and vulnerable Jordanians.

Plan International has been working in Jordan since 2016 to support the recovery and resilience of Syrian refugees and the Jordanian host population by providing early childhood care and development, and projects addressing education, child protection, GBV, sexual and reproductive health rights, youth economic empowerment and women empowerment.
